Yemeni Air defenses shoot down a US spy plane (Scan Eagle) for the third time
The air defenses of Yemen army and the popular committees shot down an American spy plane “Scan Eagle” while it was carrying out hostile actions in the Marib province.
The Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said: “The air defenses managed to shoot down an American spy plane (Scan Eagle) with a surface-to-air missile over Al-Mashjah area in Serwah district of Marib province.”
It is noteworthy that the air defenses managed last Sunday to shoot down a spy plane of the same type in the same area.
(Scan Eagle) is the second spy plane of this type to be shot down in less than 48 hours, and the third during the duration of the aggression on Yemen, where the air defenses had previously shot down this type of modern American aircraft in the border areas in November of the year 2019.
This aircraft is characterized by its small size compared to its counterparts in the regular armies, which facilitates its transportation. It is also equipped with an electro-optical surveillance camera and another infrared camera.
