S. Nasrallah on Ukraine Crisis: Those Who Hand over Weapons and Rely on ‘Guarantees’ Regret

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah warned that events taking place in Ukraine are dangerous, slamming double-standard policies adopted by international community regarding this crisis.

During a conference in memorial of former Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Abbas Al-Mousawi, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that the US is not trustworthy, noting that Washington has been inciting in the latest weeks in a bid to escalate the situation between Ukraine and Russia.

“What’s happening today between Russian and Ukraine is dangerous and all options are open. The US is to blame over the crisis in Ukraine, Washington has been inciting and working on this scenario for weeks,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, addressing attendees of the conference in Beirut.

“Those who hand over their weapons and rely on ‘fake guarantees’ shall call for military help as soon as the battle starts,” Sayyed Nasrallah said referring to Denuclearization of Ukraine following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

The Hezbollah S.G. criticized the world’s reaction towards the ongoing battle in Ukraine compared to other wars launched by the US and the Zionist entity against oppressed people.

“How did the international community react to wars on Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Syria and Yemen? And how did it react to Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine? Such stances prove that the strongest is respected in this world while the weak is oppressed.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sayyed Nasrallah saluted “the courageous Resistance fighters” in the Palestinian refugee camp of Jenin who confronted a deadly Israeli raid that killed at least two Palestinians.

His eminence also praised Sayyed Abbas Al-Mousawi for his role in establishing Hezbollah Resistance.

“Sayyed Abbas Al-Mousawi believed and worked hard to foster Islamic and national unity. He had decisive, firm stance on defending Palestine and Resistance.”

“Sayyed Abbas worked hard to establish good relations with Syria,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, noting that the former Hezbollah leader was keen to offer support to all oppressed people of the Muslim Ummah (nation).
