Report: Trump Expects to Be Reinstated as President in August
Former US President Donald Trump has been telling confidants that he would be reinstated as president by August, according to a report.
The New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman tweeted on Wednesday that the former president is still trying to overturn the outcomes of the 2020 presidential election as a result of the ongoing election audits in states like Arizona and Georgia.
Trump has been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August (no that isn’t how it works but simply sharing the information).
The tweet by Haberman comes after Trump allies, including Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, and former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell attended a three-day QAnon-sponsored conference, dubbed “For God & Country Patriot Roundup,” at the Omni Hotel in Dallas to cook up new plans to get Trump back in office.
“A new inauguration date is set, and Biden is told to move out of the White House, and President Trump should be moved back in,” Powell told attendees to the QAnon conference. “I’m sure there’s not going to be credit for time lost, unfortunately, because the Constitution itself sets the date for inauguration, but he should definitely get the remainder of his term and make the best of it.”
Flynn also tried to encourage another election overturn by asking the crowd why “what happened in Myanmar” can’t happen in the US?
“No reason,” Flynn said. “I mean, it should happen here.”
