The people of Khadir district in Taiz denounce the crime of burning copies of the Qur’an ,the detention of the Umrah performer, Marwa Al-Sabri

Today, Monday, the local council in Khadir district of Taiz governorate organized a protest stand to condemn the burning of copies of the Noble Qur’an and the Saudi regime’s detention of the Yemeni citizen, Marwa Al-Sabri, while she was performing Umrah.

The participants in the vigil, which was attended by the governor of Taiz, Salah Abd al-Rahman Bajash, and the director of the directorate, Jalal al-Subaihi, chanted slogans expressing public anger towards the Zionist lobby’s tools that offend Islam and Muslims by burning copies of the Holy Quran.

They denounced the arrest by the Saudi authorities of the citizen Al-Sabri, the fabrication of false malicious charges against her, and the sentence issued to her one year in prison,considering this a flagrant violation of human rights and all humanitarian laws, and contrary to religious and social values.
