Minister of Public Health and Population investigates the lack of response to some cases of seasonal flu for treatment

The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr.Taha Al-Mutawakkil, announced that it does not exclude the presence of changes in the genes of the virus in hostile action against the Yemeni people, revealing in numbers of cases of viral diseases in the country.

He also stressed the high readiness and health preparations by hospitals in Sanaa to receive H1N1 patients.

Minister of Health, during a meeting that included several ministers and officials, and representatives of international organizations, indicated that clinical capacities were provided in all hospitals to cope with the spread of seasonal flu.

During the meeting, Minister of Water, Engineer Nabil Al-Wazeer, said that we do not rule out the countries of aggression standing behind the epidemics and their high levels that are sweeping our country in light of the ongoing aggression and blockade and the starvation war and killing against the Yemeni people.

Minister of Information, Dhaifallah Al-Shami, pointed to the high rates of epidemics every year with the continuation of the aggression, noting that the matter is concerned with a local and international investigation and will hold the criminal accountable even if not later, not to work to develop an awareness plan to confront the epidemics.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Mohammed Al-Mansour, revealed that the cases of H1N1 flu had reached two cases and 94 deaths, during last October .

Al-Mansour confirmed that the suspected cases of dengue fever reached 20,300 cases during the current month of December.

He stressed that deaths in dengue fever reached 68 cases this December in the governorates of Al-Hodeidah, Hajjah, Aden, Lahj, Shabwa, Marib, and Rima.

He also pointed out that, suffered of dengue fever during the current December 2498 children under the age of five, 16 of them died, and they represent 24% of deaths.

Prime Minister for Services and Development, Dr. Hussein Makbouly, stressed that we seek to come up with practical steps to reduce the epidemics that afflict the respiratory system and whose danger is increasing due to the situation created by the continued aggression and the siege

For his part, Minister of Local Administration Ali al-Qaisi called on international organizations to transfer the truth to the world of using prohibited weapons by the aggression which cause the killing of Yemenis and the spread of epidemics.

For his part, the Minister of Health urged the medical staff to redouble efforts and raise readiness to confront this disease and provide the best services to the patients.
