Sare’e: Yemeni Army Launched 1067 Ballistic, Winged Missiles within 5 Years
Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier Yahya Sare’e, revealed a statistic of the Rocketry Force operations during five years of steadfastness.
During a press briefing, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said that the Rocketry Force launched during the past years of aggression more than 1067 ballistic and winged missiles.
“More than 410 missiles targeted vital military targets, installations, and others in the Saudi and Emirati depths, while more than 630 missiles targeted enemy military targets inside Yemen since the beginning of the aggression,” he added.
The brigadier general said that the Rocketry Force launched 890 ballistic and winged missiles from 2015 to the end of 2018, 110 ballistic and winged missiles during 2019, and 64 ballistic and winged missiles during the past months of 2020.
He pointed out that some of the missiles were fired singly and some were fired in batches, the most prominent of which was the launch of 10 ballistic missiles at one time during “Victory from Allah” operation.
Sare’e stressed that Yemeni armed forces have tested new air defense missile systems, which will be showcased in the near future, stating that Borkan (Volcano), Qaher, Badr, Quds-1, Nikal, Qassem and Zulfiqar missile systems have already been unveiled.
He also announced that there are missile systems that will enter service soon, after the success of the experimental operations.
He pointed out that the new missile systems are more sophisticated in speed, more powerful in destructive ability, more accurate in terms of hitting targets and more efficient in the technical side, stressing that the Yemeni Armed Forces possess a strategic stockpile of deterring weapons, on top of which are ballistic and winged missiles.
“We will not hesitate to deliver preemptive strikes against any upcoming offensive operation by the aggression or in response to any crime that the aggression may commit against our people and our country,” Sare’e warned. “We used a thousand of ballistic missiles that destroyed the enemy’s bases and installations during 5 years of confrontation, and they should expect the same number and more, but within a much shorter period.”
