President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat affirmed keenness on a just and realistic peace that guarantees the cessation of the aggression, the lifting of the blockade, control of resources, the resumption of the disbursement of salaries and the total release of prisoners.

He reiterated his support for the UN envoy’s efforts and openness to all efforts to stop the aggression war and address its effects.

He congratulated all the Yemenis in general, their tribes, the army and popular committees on the occasion of 53rd anniversary of Independence Day, which coincides with November 30 0f each year.

Speaking on the occasion of Independence Day, President Mashat said: We and all honorable people have the right to celebrate this glorious occasion because, thank God, we are in the same trench that where our fathers were against foreign colonialism.

The president congratulated those who defected from the coalition ‘s ranks and returned to the homeland’s bosom, calling on those who still in the ranks of the aggression to return.

“Independence Day offers the lesson to the aggressor of our country and puts it in front of the woes of this war, as well as it depicts the final scene for every mercenary ,” he said.

He stressed that November 30 reveals the historical merit and eternal symbolism of all the heroes who today defend their country, people and their cause.

He explained that one of the characteristics of November 30th, it distinguishes between true and false patriotism to expose traitors and agents.

The aggressors should stop their aggression and occupation. If they think of continuing, they are only come out worse in the end, he said.

“Traitors and agents cannot celebrate this day without turning into a mockery and a scandal, and they have brought on their backs the smallest occupier in history,” he added.
