A community initiative to rehabilitate a road in Bani Matar, Sana’a

The people of Heid al-Jalab district in Bani Matar, Sana’a governorate, implemented a community initiative to repair and maintain a three-square-kilometer road that was severely damaged by rain torrents.

The initiative, in coordination with the local authority, as part of the “Forsan Development” program implemented by the Bonyan Development Foundation, includes filling, paving and leveling the road leading to the village located in the southeast of Bani Matar district.

The district’s social officer, Ahmed Al-Faqih, explained that the initiative includes, with broad community participation, repairing all damages to re-settle the road, which is the main artery for the villagers.
