Sayyed Hussien Al-Houthi in 2002 Points Out Possible US Scenario, Handing back Kabul to Taliban
The United States of America has drawn the scenario of handing over Kabul to Taliban two decades ago, after its military invasion of Afghanistan and the killing of thousands of Afghan citizens.
The Taliban movement was not a product of chance. Rather, it was founded after fierce battles between the Soviet army, which intervened to support the government loyal to it in the year 1978, and those the United States of America called the Afghan and Arab mujahideen and worked to support them through a CIA program called Operation Cyclone.
After the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan in 1989, it entered into a cycle of violence that contributed to the existence of Taliban, which was initially funded by the US through the Pakistani intelligence with all its needs to control Afghanistan in 1996. Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Pakistan were at the behest of America, the first countries to recognize the Taliban’s authority.
In 2001, the US invaded Afghanistan under the pretext of responding to the 9/11 attacks because the Taliban had not handed over “Osama bin Laden” to Washington. Washington claimed at the time, and raised the slogan of fighting terrorism with the aim of intimidating regimes and bringing peoples to heel.
The announcement of the invasion that was declared by US President George W. Bush was accompanied by great media intimidation, causing confusion of the opinions, and this was the goal of “Washington”. However, the event could not have gone unnoticed by Sayyed Hussien Al-Houthi. Everyone is surprised about his cleverness as he was alerted 20 years ago to the American plans in more than one issue, most notably the invasion of
Afghanistan.
The leader Sayyed Hussein Al-Houthi said in lecture on January 24, 2002, “the US only will save its face, so it will withdraw from Afghanistan pretending the elimination of Taliban or the Taliban leaders, while it will put an illusory alternative. Taliban may return again, Taliban has shrunk with US directives and will get bigger with other directions.
This is a reality today that the whole world sees. All events and facts support what Sayyed Hussein Al-Houthi said, especially the recent negotiations between the Taliban and the US during the past two years in Qatar.
The US administration during the era of former President Donald Trump engaged in negotiations with the Taliban, and it was agreed to withdraw with a timetable, which was achieved during the era of the current President Joe Biden, regardless of the fact that the Taliban forced the US to leave .
The Taliban’s entry into the Afghan capital in mid-August was nothing but a pre-prepared scenario. The US repeated scenes of misery again and left its mercenaries behind to be killed by plane wheels at Kabul airport. These scenes reminded us of the famous Vietnam photo in 1975 of individuals scrambling for an American helicopter on the roof of a house in Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War. These two ends coincided as the period of the two wars was twenty years for each war.
