Al-Murtada: The prisoner exchange process will begin on  Ramadan 19th

Today, Monday, the delegation of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs arrived in the capital, Sana’a, after a round of negotiations in Geneva to implement the prisoner exchange deal.

The head of the National Committee for Prisoners, Abd al-Qader al-Murtada, confirmed that the Red Cross will carry out the exchange of 706 of our prisoners and 181 of the prisoners of the other side in 3 stages, starting from  Ramadan 19th.

Al-Murtada said: The first day of implementing the exchange process will be between Sana’a and Aden, the second day between Sana’a and Riyadh, and the third day between Sana’a and Marib.

Al-Murtada confirmed that it was agreed during the last round to form committees from both sides to visit places of detention in Sana’a and Marib, under UN auspices, in preparation for future deals. He added, “We are preparing in Sana’a for a welcome worthy of the greatness, patience and steadfastness of our sacrificing heroic families.”
